Map: Colombia
Time: 04:30
Weather: Clear skies, full moon
Host: @Karl
DLC Required: None
In the dense jungles of Colombia, a brutal conflict between two factions has reached a stalemate along a vast central river, which has become a natural frontline neither side can breach. After no attack has yielded clear victor, a daring new plan is set in motion. Success could break the deadlock and shift the balance of the war; failure could doom them all.
To prepare for a new offensive, command has identified a few key locations and key pieces of infrastructure which are in danger of being destroyed by hostile before our forces could use them.
OPORD
I Situation
Our special forces and other well trained units have been tasked with capturing and securing these. Task Force Noctem has been tasked with capturing and clearing the bridge of the town of Montelibano. We are expecting mines, barbed wire and such used to block off the bridge. An Engineer element will be attached with you who then can help clear the bridge and help you set up any defenses to hold off any QRF forces.
Our local resistance allies have also stashed additional supplies for us in a nearby ancient ruin.
Friendly Forces
- Task Force Noctem (TFN), Colombian Freedom Fighters
- PLT, A, B, C, MMG, MAT, ENG, DMT, HAT, HMG, MRT
- We have counter-battery radars set up, to warn of and locate any hostile artillery targets for you.
Assets
- Offroad Vehicles - Optionally available to be paradropped ahead of you.
Enemy Forces
- Colombian Coalition Forces.
- Less trained, but more manpower than us. However, we have better technology.
Civilians
- Civilians have been evacuated from the objective town, as well as most of the front line area.
II Mission
TFN is to HALO drop into the area. Optionally, with small vehicles. After regrouping, TFN is to ensure they can capture the town and it’s bridge, then clear and secure it. We suspect QRF forces to move in rapidly after any alarms are raised by the outpost in the town.
How TFN decides to handle these threats, is down to Platoon Leader.
III Execution
Commander’s Intent
- TFN will be dropped in and regrouped.
- Order of objectives and how to prepare for them is down to Platoon.
- Once the bridge has been held from any QRF forces, our offensive forces can start pushing in. TFN is to wait for their green light to RTB.
Movement Plan
- There are a few known threats in the area and many ways to approach them.
- Should Platoon demand them, small recon vehicles might be prepared for you to use. Our Resistance allies have also stashed boats for TFN to use.
- The bridge and town is suspected to be mined, razor wired and barricaded. Engineers have been attached to you to clear them.
Fire Support
- Friendly small drones available for PLT Rifleman.
- No CAS available due to AA threats. (MANPADs, Anti Air Guns)
Optional Tasks
- Pick up friendly resistance stashed supplies (mines, explosives and better mine detectors), also some boats available.
- Gather any found intelligence on enemy positions and activities.
- Destroy marked hostile communication or logistics locations.
IV Administration / Logistics
- Enemy Prisoners of War (EPWs) are to be secured for later questioning by Command assets.
Resupplying
- Ammo resupply available at base. Can be dropped with you/ahead of you in the drop zone as well. Limited supplies available at allied stash.
- In dire situations, if TFN retreats far back enough, friendly ambulances and field medics might be able to be sent out for medical assistance.
Reinforcements
- Reinsertions will be on the hour every hour and be adhered to strictly, no deviation is allowed.
- Reinsertions are the same for all, including vehicles teams.
- Platoon Commander has a one time reinsertion wild card at his disposal, call this in through HQ.
- At predesignated times, reinforcements will be sent out of the base in the smallest transport vehicle which can hold reinforcements.
- At predesignated times, an air transport will be sent out to pick up reinforcements from the base.
- Upon insertion to the AO, reinforcements should stick together until regrouping with the main force in the AO.
