Perhaps it was a safe spot but from my view it looked quite risky :stuck_out_tongue:

Some nice explosions.

Teddy 19281514 I thought this one was really funny, you guys didn’t seem to be aware of the tank right in the middle.

3749902 These two were the bombs that didnt kill anything for some reason.

Some more nice explosions.

I made some screenshots of this training. What I liked to point out was that in some scenario’s the bombs dropped but didnt kill anyone. That seems like a bug to me. Also keep in mind to keep your 360 going if this were to be a real scenario, the view of the bombs dropping is nice but I assume it’s not worth risking your life for. Also keep in mind that depending on the bomb / rocket / missle the pilot decides to use you might risk being killed / injured in the zone. Bombs can be lethal between 100 - 500 meter (depending on what is being dropped) so a (small) rock might be a gamble on your life.

Other than that good job everyone! I had a fun time, I hope you guys did too.

Good training, nice to try something new. It will probably help me with better communication generaly too. Never played like Dagger and found out it s quite a fun

3891983 I agree that it’s a bit on the closer side and one should get more distance where possible, however there was no further position from which the compound was visible (we got chased away from our LZ2 by some lone guy who could see two people prone in the grass).

I would still argue that it’s fairly safe, even with unguided ammunition, given a correct approach (along the road) so that any under/overshoot lands perpendicularly to us, ~150m away, beyond the hill. We also had dense trees between us and the explosion - Arma 3 trees, which do catch some shrapnel (and laser if one is not careful).

If nothing else, consider it a calculated risk.

I would like to thank everybody that attended! you guys did an amazing job and I feel like you guys are all ready to call in CAS whenever you need to.
I would love to play with you guys on friday and send some explosions down from the sky.

3891983 I’m pretty sure the bomb’s keep track of the terrain and if the bomb drops on a slope it will not do any damage to units on the other side of the hill.

Lastly I would like to ask you guys for some feedback about the general feel of:
The JTAC training (the mini-op-esque method most of all)
The 2-trainings-1-event thing we did, would you like to see this more often?

JTAC - I think it was good practical exercise which is ussually needed to master things, the same with the tanks

2-trainings in one - I think it made the training more interasting and fun and not monotone. Yep, I would like to see it often.

This was a training so obviously I spent time trying to explain what we were trying to learn to my team mate who missed the briefing rather than playing this as if this was a real op.
