Training: Communications

Please leave feedback for Training conducted on Tuesday 11th of October.

First of all, gratitude is in order to Dachi for stepping up to take over the training at the last minute, and helping it run without incident (Apart from that one AI who wandered into our debriefing).

Training was engaging and informative. Briefing and Debriefing may have been running a little long; I did find myself losing focus during longer sections of talking, but that is kind of a necessary part of training. No point doing an exercise if you’re not going to discuss it afterwards.

All around a great mission.

Once Youtube is done with doing its thing it should be up. Warning video qualiy is pretty bad:

Yay thank really great job Dachi !

Really great training, I wish we could’ve covered the squad lead aspect as well but that would have been too big of a training. It covered the main aspect of fireteam leading and now I feel more confident grabing a leadership slot
Last attack on the camp was horrible. We should have seen that the attack position was not ideal, or if we really wanted to attack from there, then we should have attack differently (mostly throwing grenades (unbarrel would have been nice given the small defilade))

Once I have internet at my house again I will be looking into what I can do with regards to helping out with training. Squad leading is one of the things I can probably help out with, so I’ll keep it in mind, though I’m sure there’s already talk of it.

Too bad I was too tired to stay to the end. BUT I did my leading part and I’m happy to know what I was doing wrong. That one day when I’ll be tired just a little bit instead of regular tired - I will pick the leader

Here is my point of view of this wonderful training where I somehow end up being the only survivor of an assault only to fuck it up on the next exercise by going straight in front of me, on a 45° angle left of where I planned to actually go

This was my first gaming experience with you guys and I like this playing style here a lots. I participated with some weird bug, so I lost the ingame sound and the ACRE radio coms: I was practically deaf, besides of the ingame direct speech, that worked. Not the best conditions for sure, but I had fun anyway.

Feedback: Kudos to Dachi for his excellent leadership example in this training. Involving the FTL’s in the SL’s decision making for training purposes is a very efficient way to teach FTL’s and it made a lots of sense. The explanations for the tactical part were always on spot. I also liked that the training was quite long. Thanks for that experience.

Thanks to this training I will now strive to cut the jibber-jabber over the radio, out.

I can’t tell if that comma is meant to be there, even having read it like 3 times, over.

Grammar training is next month. However, as I am from Oxford I get to say "That’s the Oxford Comma" every time I use a comma incorrectly.

No worries, my grammar’s atrocious. Just thought that since this was a thread about comms you had deliberately ended the post with an "out"
