I liked it, but idk if mmg was harnessed to best effect. Also 3891983 's bedside manner could use some improvement
I was sad not to be able to see this mission through to the end, dying just after the last reinsert.
I had a good time with A1. The opposition felt appropriate and from where I was it seemed like assets were used correctly since the infantry squad just had to mop up the objectives.
The communication within the squad was nice and concise, reaction to enemy fire and flanks were also very good with firearms trying to assist each other.
Thanks Miko and Rizo for the leading and thanks Highway for a cool mission!
Quite a long mission, it was fun and we played quite well I think. Despite getting many casualties even during the attack on OBJ Brown and OBJ Silver we reorganised quickly and efficiently, filling the gaps left by our dead fellows and this allowed us to keep pushing towards the objectives which worked in the end. This mission is a good example of how goals can be achieved even with less than a full platoon available, we kind of fixed what caused so many issues last friday: reorganise quick, keep moving and hope that GM will be merciful ![]()
During my short time as Alpha’s only fireteam lead I’d like to say I loved the attack on the ATC Tower (even though it turned out to be empty), so thanks to who was in that fireteam because I had a great time!
I enjoyed the campaign, thanks for this last mission 13688253 ! ![]()

Good work all round guys and great work from Mission Making to put this mission and the whole campaign together. It was really well balanced and enjoyable.
Things for us to work on. Initial assaults and covering/supressive fire. initial attacks on Obj Brown and Silver were recked by the initial assault team (A2) getting flanked both times and taking heavy casualties. At brown the covering elements didn’t do their job, and at Silver I moved us across the main road without smoke cover when there was a guy outside the city hiding 50m away on the reverse slope.
We’re usually better at dealing with things like that before assaults so not sure what went wrong today. I know we don’t use seaparate markers for FTs anymore but it would have been relly useful at Brown. I moved forward as ordered and was 100m ahead of the rest of the squad but the FTL still thought I was with them. This resulted in confusion as to where the enemy actually were when I was giving contact directions.
I don’t know if Dagger and Air support were always in the best place to support the infantry. Dagger in particular got isolated a lot and blown up several times as a result. I think we just need to be a bit tighter overall.
Comms in my FT were good and between FTs, despite the acre issues, which were an issue at Gold when leaders died. Overall plan was good and I think we reacted well to everything we encountered. Good job guys!
I woke up 20 minutes before the mission beginning, so i felt like half dead for some time… got 5x injured during mission and 5x I could not walk
Have to say the AIs were shooting pretty well, do not know if it was a GM work or it were the optics what the US faction was using, bug I totally felt like there is something weird about getting shot so well on 300-500 meters, when I even could not see the enemies on my screen, how far they were. So it looks like the AR and AAR or FTL and AR (If needed) should stick together when fighting is above some 350m as without the binos I did not see anything in 98,9% of time.
Couple of times I was waiting to shoot bc was not sure if it is foe or friend and I did not wanted to friendly fire anybody.
The nuclear bomb - was pretty nice beginning, I did like a lot fog so it was good, and from heli the low fog placement looked very cool. Maybe the weather could be darker and more cloudy even at the launch of the mission and later in mission too (as I do not like the sunny weather every second mission, but understand if it was made for Paladin, to actually see something)
At the beginning I was surprised that there were so big number of bunkers. Was thinking like it will be hard to make it, especially Ive go so much suppressive fire from everywhere and got injured at start of mission, before Alfa 1-2 got wiped-out.
So, it was a large scale operation and If we had 10 more ppl it would work out better and quicker. As a survivor of the mission, I felt like the team got wiped out and later the situations were similar.
I do not know how it is managed but sometimes when enemy fire team or squad is wiped out and 1 or 2 EI survive, its ok to prohibit them their fire and let them retreat as they are not combat effective probably anymore and add them to other EI group or even they can surrender themselves or get detained, it s quite a cool thing and nobody should shoot them.
Again, it s just a idea. I do not know how exactly the suppression of AIs work - what is the effect on them (probably they can not shoot so well ? worse accuracy ?) but if the suppression from our side is really high… and it is in realistic… why do not prohibit them fire and let them get prone behind some cover for 1-3 minutes and switch them back to open fire mode. (it s like we do it (?)) To try to overshoot is always very risky, unless I have adventage in terrain position, cover or better scope. It would be bad if the AI really can not get any worse, so the forbidden fire could somehow solve it, in some situations)
It was good mission and I did like it. It would be greate if CNTO try to achieve 30 ppl attendance for such "big" operations, when we want use DAGGER and Paladin or Ripper as I little bit felt we miss one full squad. (I mean I like this big operations but we need some numbers in field for that).
Maybe the extent of operation should be stated in OPORD (there was the 23 I think) like (lets say "op for 6-40" ppl or "op for 23-50" or even statement of purpose the op like "attack, ambush, recon, stealth" or some official notes at the end of OPORD.
If the numbers are not getting bigger maybe would help to state a regular "monthly large scale op" and believe that more members will join this bigger event.
My PoV as Alpha (then the infamous Charlie) squad lead: https://media.lastmikoi.net/player/20180209-CNTO-COOP_Operation_Dark_Crusade_Part_Six.mp4
As always, expect general rubbishness, lack of courage from my lacqueis when facing the enemy as well as an interesting point of view on how dagger got wrecked by smugglers.
