Masters CUP Tournament

We got invited to participate in first monthly Masters CUP hosted by ESM. It’s vanilla 6v6 PvP with 8 teams in total. Prize is 20€ and world recognition if we win, or disch… I mean shame if we loose.

Dates of matches are 29th and 30th of October. Game mode is CTF, 6 man teams, 8 of them. You can find maps we’ll be playing on on this link.

Currently I don’t have more details, as soon as I manage to get hold of someone from ESM I’ll update this OP. If someone manages to get more information in meanwhile, please post below. In meanwhile you can take a look at the tournament details (what little there is of it) at here.

ArmA3Pro played few CTF events and my firm belief is that you’ll hate it too as it doesn’t resemble Arma. It’s respawn based capture the flag with a lot of run and gun hosted by Spanish 88th community.

Trust me, no Arma loving community should play that. 88th just rolls over anyone with their one on one skills, doesn’t even resemble team work etc… Our gatherings were top compared to this. :slight_smile:

They look like they’re playing Call of Duty Multiplayer so not really interested.

These sort of games are all map knowledge and concentration. I used to play in a BF3 clan and we had to learn location names for each map to quickly coordinate. IMHO it is not really what ArmA is about but I guess whatever rocks your boat.

I have to give them list of 6 players until Sat evening to confirm our participation. After initial good response on Discord I’m less convinced we’ll gather those 6 players.

It’s not big deal if we don’t cancel participation, maybe even better considering gamemode.

I was just thinking good publicity fo us especially if it is streamed but if no one is interested then can’t force people.

I’ve strolled across their site yesterday and it doesn’t look like ESL affiliate to me. It’s more like a child of that community. Maybe I’m wrong though.

I don’t recall high publicity surrounding those events nor streaming. I have a cunning plan, but that’s a topic for some other time.
