I liked the mission. I had to leave around 2200, so please don’t take that as any kind of feedback. 8061610 we need to fix our in-game voice communication, think we’re both too quiet. Some time next week?

Good mission! You really nailed the feeling of being semi-insurgents with very little power over the enemy. Limited radio availability once again proves to lead to a harder time for FTLs running after members and making sure everyone is informed, good shit.

13688253 yeah I’d like to check, maybe with the help of some recordings so I can get a sense of what the issue is and whether it’s only you or not. HMU whenever you’re free so we can hop on training grounds and do some testing.

Thanks for the mission 8030574 !

Interesting OP for the Engineers. In the first hour and half of the op we were just there, not really doing anything other then driving vehicles around. I understand why this was because it was thought that we would be there to dig defences and repair broken vehicles, but during the whole OP I think we only repaired two vics (one technical and one logi), and we didn’t even have any entrenching tools all the way to the final assault when we didn’t really need them and were basically down to only 2 men group. It was also a bit strange that we had two demo specialists in the team, but then we had to surrender all of our recently acquired explosives to Aziz rendering our demos mere rifleman.

Towards the end of the OP we were able to move more freely and were trying to support Alpha as much as our limited numbers and weaponry allowed and did some fun flanking manouvers over larger distances. Hopefully, there will be opportunities in the future to do something similar because it was a quite fun and rewarding experience.

Seeing and actually driving Aziz’s death contration was simply amazing and unnerving because the bloody thing was ticking the whole time I was controling it. I basically had zero vision outside because of the sand bags on the windshield and that combined with the ticking made me freak out every time I hit a small bump or a rock. 11/10, would never do it again.

There were 5 interesting situations that are worth mentioning:

 1. When Alpha captured the first compound we moved to their flank to try to cut off the enemy reinforcement, but were a bit unsuccessful with that resulting in us being in front of Alpha while they were occupying the compound. When we retreated back into the compound we were announcing our entrance over local voice but were still fired upon and one man was downed.

 2. Alpha was then in returned allegedly fired upon by ENG when we were positioned about 800 meters on their flank trying to support their push. I blame the lack of optics and bad ENG leadership for this.

 3. ENG was then again friendly fired by one of the vehicle crews in the castle. Vehicle crew charged forward and captured one of the cargo towers in the castle. There they were basically besieged from all sides and after a few minutes ENG came to bust them out. Our arrival was again announced over long range radio and local voice but I guess their nerves where fryed and I was downed when making contact with them. Rest of the ENG were ambushed approaching the tower and killed by the OPFOR.

 4. While Spartak and I where driving the Boom Truck towards WP2 we were ambushed by OPFOR and took refuge in a house. Price, Stoneowl, and Churizo were driving past us a few minutes later and were ambused themselves. Churizo and Stonowl were killed instantly and Price stayed with ENG until the end of the OP. Price and Spartak took one motorcycle and went half of the map to retrieve a function BTR for use in assaulting the final base.

 5. Assaulting the final base with a BTR and a Boom Truck. While Alpha was attracting all the fire West, ENG and Price snuck around and breached the base from NE. I was hoping we would be able to quickly leave the Boom Truck and steal one of the Hinds to bug out before the timer runs out, but Clarke had other ideas. He was shooting enemies in the base with and RPG, one of which landed too close to the Boom Truck detonating it. I was standing right next to the truck when it went off and it was… loud.

For me personally it was a very fun OP and I hope we would be able to play something like it in the future.

17914993 I think most of the blue-on-blue instances could be resolved by updating the element you lead more frequently on other friendly unit positions, which is something we rarely do (and we rarely need) but should do more

I have a decent amount of free time next week, so if you guys need someone to double-check if your audio is actually audible, lemme know.

Yeah, I wondered why Engineers were recommended for this mission since you really had nothing to do except repair a vehicle once or twice. I guess it was to give us a better chance of getting the bomb truck to the target. Hopefully you had a chance to pick up more firepower and had fun when I got you to act as a more fighty type of element.

Yes, engineers were there for repairing vehicles. I don’t know if you ever needed them seriously, but you would have definitely missed them if you ended up with no working trucks to haul the objective boxes, or a broken engine on the bomb truck. I’ve been thinking of different ways to make engineering a more active job, and could have probably given them a bit more to do here.

Maybe the loadout could also be a bit less shit to start with.
