OPORD

I Situation:

Because of intel we got from the captured POW of last Fridays mission we now know that the Island of Utes has been occupied by ChDKZ. Their forces have taken over the abandoned airfield and made it a base of operations. It’s our job to clear out the airfield and secure the island.

Friendly Forces:

[] Carpe Noctem Tactical Operations.
[
] Reaper

Paladin

Assets:

[] 1 x AH-6M-M Little bird
[
] 1 x A-10 CAS
[] 1 x CH-47 Chinook
[
] 1 x UH-80 Ghost Hawk
[] USS Freedom
[
] USS Khe Sanh

Enemy Forces:

[] ChDKZ.
[
] ChDKZ Airforce

Civilians:

None.

II Mission:

Our mission is to take over the Island with a focus on the airfield and Strelka. Platoon can decide what the insert method is going to be and where we insert and with what focus first.

III Execution:

Commander’s intent

[] Take over the Airfield and destroy any air assets
[
] Clear the village of Strelka

Movement Plan

Don’t send out CAS before troops hit the shore in case the shore is heavily fortified.

IV Administration / Logistics:

Resupplying

2 Crates in base they include spare explosives, this has to be done by attached air element.

Reinforcements:

Reinforcements will move to AO by attached air element and regroup with their respective units.

We move in from the boats down south.

Another airfield? Damn these guys like big strips of tarmac.

There was a good amount of planes and a big bomber you guys didn’t see after the first half hour of Fridays mission hinthint*

Oooh good point. I forgot about that massive bomber that almost killed Dagger 1

Hey Shiny the Huron is a DLC vehicle so I would suggest that you change it to the modded Chinook (Or whatever you please) to follow the rules and guidelines for missions

Edited

Is the intention to have the infantry hit the beach and then report the status of the Beach defenses to bring CAS in? I think realistically, going in quiet and getting an eye on anything that could prevent CAS would be paramount to success. Target the AA/defenses and hit them surgically and as quiet as possible with some kind of commando element, then call in CAS and as many airsupport platforms as possible to get up safely and with the manpower we have and do run runs on any infantry, and other runs (if available) on hard targets. Infantry moves in to clear…victory. And you have a nice new island.

I don’t suppose the ships can provide ARTY support to soften stuff up, can they?

Movement Plan

Don’t send out CAS before troops hit the shore in case the shore is heavily fortified.

So yeah that is the general plan. Where we hit the beach is up to us.
Ships have arty if you give them a target.

Good, then Infantry should call in fire support until the guns run near dry to soften the way in up, clear that ‘shingle’ and get the CAS birds flying.

USS Freedom’s radar has scanned the island and has found the following :

Pay attention that we only cared about air assets, vehicles and fortifications.
This may not be everything !

Begining of a plan.
I propose to secure Streika first to give us a foothold on the island that’s not to complicated to assault.

I suggest to send DMT on that small island to the South so they can observe to beach. If they see fortifications, troops… We can hammer them like Obi suggested with fire support.

Infantry can then take the beach, DMT relocate to their new OW position & start movement towards Streika.

We can attack from 2 sides (depending on our numbers) while DMT keeps watch over the Airfield & our backs.

Once Streika is secured, we can conduct resupplies & reinsertions safely via the beach to the S-E.

After that it all depends on what DMT sees in the Airfield & what we can use as cover to move. Hopefully we can spot & call fire support on AA guns & then have CAS conduct attack runs to support infantry movement.
