It has been 3 years since the US Armed Forces began their occupation on the Province of Bhandrah, Takistan. One of locals in the town of Karachinar has overheard a group of US Army soliders talking about a VIP visiting a small radio detachment. Having a US Army VIP taken hostage could be pivotal to the excursion of US Armed Forces from our lands for good.

Area of Operations:

The route you take is completely up to you but the attack is time crucial so I’d advise taking the quickest route as well as avoiding the minefield (marked in red). Be aware that the US Armed Forces have manned road blocks (pictured above) located around Bhandrah, Takistan and have heard murmurs of an uprising

The US Armed Forces are certainly not a force to be reckoned with and the lack of body armour on our part will mean a tough fight is to follow.

Suggested Elements:
PLT, ALPHA, BRAVO (if possible) and MMG

Couple of questions mate:

 1. Do we have any info on the friendly force that has already started the attack, location and direction of attack being the main one, secondary being size of force and composition?

 2. Where are the other main concentrations of Americans, distance from the base we are attacking, capabilities available to them i.e. any Air or Armour assets and what’s their QRF times like?

 3. Thanks for the picture of the road block can we confirm the location of it and any others we know about in the area?

1). The friendly forces have situated most of their manpower on a ridge just south of Garmsar Base. The attack is borderline suicide so only the most devout insurgents have manned the attack. I’d estimate the equivalent of a small platoon worth of men. As for the composition… there is none, it’s a rag tag group with scrounged weaponry and no body armour.

2). The American forces have been relatively relaxed as of late, 3 years in with little aggression from the insurgents has resulted in a decreased number of patrols and the withdrawal of most of their armour from the battlefield. This will be fortunate for us as we will have the upper hand on the attack. As for air, the US Army have access to a plethora of aircraft from Chinooks to Blackhawks but they will take a while to respond as the nearest active airbase is approx 30 KMs away.

 1. We are unaware of the location of the roadblock sadly.

Slotting priority:

 • Alpha
 • Bravo
 • PLT Medic
 • MMG

Vehicles:

 • Alpha (1x armed Hilux + 1x VLV)
 • Bravo (1x armed Hilux + 1x VLV)
 • PLT (1x supply Hilux)
 • MMG (1x VLV)

Plan:

 • Drive down of OFFROAD marker, pushing through any contacts in towns and clearing out possible roadblocks if in open areas
 • Drive down the valley marked on map and split off to get in position North of Garmsar (Yellow and Green). Vehicles as well as infantry tasked with cutting out QRFs from the road to the West and the town to the East of the base.
 • If and when we get the upper-hand, one of the two squads will step off South and breach the airfield
 • The remaining squad/elements drive down the hill and secure the West entrance

Happy with your positioning of the elements at yellow and green for assault and overwatch positions mate.

The only thing I would suggest would be to avoid roads and roadblocks altogether and convoy down to the base off-road completely, as the assault has already started and the OPORD suggests we get there ASAP, roadblocks, patrols etc may impede our progress.

Maybe a route like the one shown below which follows a ridgeline parallel to the road would make it easier to push past roadblocks, even go noticed by them if we use the East side of the ridge as cover (minefield permitting):

16274568 is the mine field accurate or is that whole area between the roads etc mined off. If this is the case 8061610 could still go off-road but use the other side of the road and just cross them as and when needed. (risk being CNTO shit driving and crashing into tiny Arma rocks breaking vehicles  )

I’d personally try to stick to the main road as much as possible. The marked area in the past hasn’t proved to be very accurate. The roadblocks are manned with a maximum of three PAX at most from what we’ve seen so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem

I believe in our takistan drivers Dachi! Good point on avoiding the roads altogether though, it would make for an easier entrance in the AO. Although given Garf’s requests I’d stick to the roads and maybe break off a little earlier than what I planned, so between the towns of Zavarak and Sagram

Awesome, no worries guys look forward to playing this OP.
