You have already done the planning for us haven’t you?
We just send 3 elements to place 2 AT mines & 2 claymores at each ambush sites then set-up crossfire positions on each road.
Once the first recon elements come in contact, inflict damage & fall back to secondary defensive positions (difficult to define those from the map) set-up by 2 guys with entrenching tools for each element to cover all three roads further West.
I’d set all 10 AP mines on the South, East of the "Block" marker.
For the TOWs, since we only have 2, I’d place them to cover the most direct avenues of approach to Plt HQs North & South.

If we have time or reserves, it might be good to set-up alternative positions in case enemy artillery zeros on the secondary defensive positions.

How is TFN split between 1st & 2nd platoon?

Hey Stuka,

If you look at the map in Detail the blue dashed line in our boundary line.

We are 1st Platoon part of a company. 2nd Platoon are on our south and they have there plan sorted. It is our northern sector that our platoon must plan for.

As you can see 2nd Platoon has created road blocks and mined then to prevent the enemy from clearing them, they have also set each of there squads to watch and ambush at each road block. They have set there Tow Launchers to intercept is the there blocking actions fail.

The idea is you guys would see what they had done in regards to planing to give you ideas. Although all other units in the area are to perform blocking actions in order to funnel the enemy to our AO so we can ambush them.

Hope this info helps.

A1, B1 & C1 are potential primary defense positions to ambush the enemy at the red killzones with 2 AT mines & 2 claymores per ambush.
A2, B2 & C2 are potential alternative positions with TOW launchers for A2 & B2. C2 is in reserve to reinforce A2 or B2 & setup the last line of defense.
The yellow rectangle is AP minefield set by C.

Some very important information missing from OPORD, First Light is at 0600.
