Weather: Clear morning skies, unclear forecast

DLC Required: None
The US army has a small presence in the Kujari region through FOB Honor, which is used as a base of operations for patrols, humanitarian activity and some flight operations to support the former.
As of late, the activity in the base has died down, due to budget cuts and changing strategies in the region, allowing increase in local insurgent and extremist activity once more.
OPORD
I Situation
Early in the morning a C-130 transport flight with sensitive cargo took off from FOB Honour. Shortly after, we received a MAYDAY call and lost contact with the plane.
Unfortunately we have lost contact with their plane’s GPS receiver and the crew has not responded to our radio calls. Due to this, we only have rough knowledge of the crash area.
Your Platoon has been tasked with pushing into the uncontrolled territory and mounting a rescue mission for the crew of the C-130 with support from the FOB air wing.
Friendly Forces
- US Army
- PLT, A, B, C, MMG, MAT, ENG, DGR, NB
- A-10 potentially available for tasking at the FOB. Platoon Rifleman has AR-2 UAV available for scouting.

- 2x M1240A1 (O-GPK/M2) - 5 seats: 1x driver, 1x co-driver 1x gunner, 2x passenger - no callsign
- 1x M1230A1 (MEDEVAC) - 6 seats: 1x driver, 3x passenger, 2x patient - no callsign

Enemy Forces
- Local Insurgents and Extremists.
- Mostly mechanized infantry, but they have access to some light to medium armor.
Civilians
- Civilians can be present in some areas.
- Mixed. The Extremists are known to be brutal, but not all locals support foreign troops on their lands.
II Mission
Your Platoon is to navigate to the crash area and locate our C-130 and it’s crew. After locating the crew and securing them and ensuring their safe return to the FOB, you are to set up and secure the C-130 crash site until additional engineering forces from a neighbouring region’s base can come in and clean up the crash site.
III Execution
Commander’s Intent
- Platoon will find the fastest and safest way to the crash site and find the best way to get the crew back home.
- Movement down to Platoon’s planning. Engineers available for IED defusal.
- Once the C-130 crew is back at the FOB and the neighbouring Engineers are at the crash site, you can RTB.
Movement Plan
- There are a few different vehicles available at the FOB for Platoon to pick from.
- Use of MRAPs recommended due to risk of IEDs.
- Hostile forces are known to use IEDs, booby-traps and sometimes even suicide bombers.
Fire Support
- No friendly artillery available in the region.
- Due to low fuel reserves, FOB can only afford to send in A-10 CAS if Nightbird stays grounded.
Optional Tasks
- Secure the Flight Recorder/Black box of the crashed C-130.
- Gather any intelligence on the Insurgent activity in the region.
IV Administration / Logistics
- Any captured hostiles are to be secured and taken back to the FOB.
Resupplying
- Ammo resupply available at the FOB.
- Medevac and a field hospital available at the FOB.
Reinforcements
- Reinsertions will be on the hour every hour and be adhered to strictly, no deviation is allowed.
- Reinsertions are the same for all, including vehicles teams.
- Platoon Commander has a one time reinsertion wild card at his disposal, call this in through HQ.
- At predesignated times, reinforcements will be sent out of the base in the smallest transport vehicle which can hold reinforcements.
- At predesignated times, an air transport will be sent out to pick up reinforcements from the base.
- Upon insertion to the AO, reinforcements should stick together until regrouping with the main force in the AO.
