The world has changed. In 2021, China’s economy crashed and the Western markets followed. Millions found themselves without the basics they had lived with for years. Austerity ran rampant. In 2023, Oil wells in the Middle East and the US ran dry. Within six months, every nation in the world was in a desperate struggle to hold onto anything they could get their hands on. High tensions and economic instability forced the UK back into the fold of the EU, which was now vying to become a federal superpower on par with Russia and the US. In 2026, China was forced to launch an unprecedented and desperate invasion on Russian soil, in an attempt to grab what little reserves remained to quell the uprisings happening internally. The Russians, surprised and without much mechanised help, were pushed back quickly and effectively by the Chinese. Within 4 months, Russian Leaders were in conference rooms in Brussels, brokering an alliance that would help their country survive. The EU agreed knowing that Russia could be used as a barrier country for their own defence, at the cost of souring relations with the US. It’s been three years since that deal was made and the US and the rebranded European Federation have been fighting proxy wars across the globe to secure any and all remaining resources. Two months ago, a survey team on the Isle of Panthera discovered a huge well of oil far below the surface and every major power has their eyes firmly set upon it.

I Situation:
Two months ago, our spies in the US Govt informed us that a US Survey Team made a discovery of huge oil reserves on the island of Panthera. We must confirm these findings so Brussels have committed Special Forces Team NOCTEM to infiltrate the island, slip into the research and security centre and copy any reports found there.

II Mission:
“NOCTEM” are to retrieve intel from the research facility and then destroy it.
III Execution:
Commander’s intent:

[*] It is my intent that Special Forces Team “NOCTEM” infiltrates the Island of Panthera via HALO insertion in order to secure intel and destroy the research facility.[/list][/indent]
Scheme of Manoeuvre:

[*] At 0230 on the 15th of November “NOCTEM” will approach the Island of Panthera for HALO insertion.
[*] “NOCTEM” are then to proceed to the RV with local contact Codename “ZULU”.
[*] After contact is made with “ZULU” proceed to the area of the research facility and conduct recce before launching your assault.
[*] On retrieval of intel and destruction of the facility move to EVAC LZ for immediate exfil to HMS Queen Elizabeth. [/list][/indent]
Movement Plan:

[*] All insertions will be via parachute drops for fast and covert insertion methods, only on the exfil will the helo land for pick up.[/list][/indent]
Fire Support:

[*] The UAV Operator will have the K40 Drone for recon and payload drop if required. The Platoon Sgt carries the Laser Designator.[/list][/indent]
IV Administration / Logistics:
Resupplying

[*] Resupply will be conducted via ammo drops, called in via HQ.[/list][/indent]
Reinforcements:

[] Reinsertions will be on the hour every hour and be adhered to strictly, no deviation is allowed. [] Reinsertions are the same for all, including vehicles teams.
[] Platoon Commander has a one time reinsertion wild card at his disposal call this in through HQ.
[] At predesignated times, an air transport will be sent out with reinforcements from the carrier.
