Coop: Conquistadors Part One

Leave your everything here! Except plans for next time! They go here: Coop: Conquistadors MEGATHREAD

Quick points from the mission:

  1. Keep the radio command structure to keep comms clear and to maintain the command levels i.e. Plt Passes order to the SL, not the whole Squad. This keeps the Squad Level comms clear for the Squad allowing the SL to then brief his team as he wishes.

  2. Maintain the levels of command within the Plt, Plt should pass orders to the SL and not directly to the Fireteams. Try and take a step back and leave the Squad to it. This stops confusion amongst the squad who can be receiving orders from the Plt Comd and SL.

  3. IDF- This one is easy the enemy nearly always has its own or likely positions ranged in with their own Arty to be hit at the first sign of trouble. I have for years said that you MUST move off objectives as soon as possible, this is done as soon as you have cleared it. If you are on a mission to find or grab kit then come up with the plan before the attack, i.e. task those without backpacks to grab kit in priority order so they can grab stuff under their FTL’s orders. This stops the SL or PL Comd from having to micro-manage the recovery of specific items etc.

  4. If the medic is treating someone and there are multiple casualties do him a favour and triage the rest of the wounded and co-locating them in one area. This cuts down the time taken to treat people and it saves in-game lives. You can prioritise them using the medical system and then brief this back to the medic.

  5. Conduct the correct LZ procedures:

    Helo Procedures Q&A for 10-15mins

Q1. What are the 6 main considerations when choosing an LZ?

    • Terrain - Flat means LZ further away from OBJ while hilly means closer LZ but trickier landing and picking of the LZ.
    • Approaches - Mask your approach from view if possible, if they can’t see you they can’t hit you.
    • Cover/Concealment - For landing troops.
    • Proximity of the enemy - Closer to the enemy the riskier they get.
    • Likelihood of patrols
    • Enemy AA capability - will have massive effect on your LZ location and approach.

Q2. How should you approach a Helo when boarding?

    • From the sides, this is for two reasons one to avoid crossing door gunners line of fire, two avoiding the tail rotar.

Q3. Who boards last in the FT and what is done when the whole FT has boarded?

    • The FTL boards last in his FT accounting for all his FT members as they board.
    • FTL will confirm that his FT are all in over the radio "A1 All In"

Q4. What should be done in flight on route to the LZ?

    • SL/FTL’s come up with a plan for 360/security on landing, giving arc’s to their FT’s ensuring all arcs are covered.

Q5. While in the Helo who is in command and is the only person who has the authority to order disembarkation.

    • The Pilot, if you touch down at LZ and pilot hasn’t given the "GO GO GO" or "DISEMBARK" order you stay put, as there may be a reason you don’t know about making it an unsafe LZ.

Q6. Who can give me a step by step explanation of the loading sequence from start to finish?

    • FTL is told by SL which aircraft to board and the sequence of flights if multiple trips needed.
    • Board form the sides with the FTL boarding Last.
    • FTL calls over radio "A1 all in".
    • During flight FTL gives his FT their arcs to cover on landing. ex: "A1 we are security for South on landing" this will prompt other FTL’s to give arcs.
    • FTL reminds of arc and gives the get ready to his FT.
    • Pilot gives permission to disembark.
    • Once all off the SL or Senior FTL gives the pilot the all off signal so he can bug out ASAP.
    • Squad or FT is now in 360 awaiting further orders.

Q7. What are the steps to call for an extraction?

    • Give pilot heads up on general area he should start heading for.
    • Identify a good LZ and mark on map.
    • Communicate LZ position to the extract helo, give information like Hot or Cold LZ, terrain, reason for choosing it enemy locations etc.
    • Move to and secure LZ.
    • Post security, give order of boarding, security element boards last.
    • Deploy blue smoke when helo is approaching to aid in the identification of the LZ, communicate via radio smoke colour and guide him in verbally if needed.
    • Board rapidly from the sides ensuring loading procedures are adhered to so no one is left behind. Last man in should be FTL of the security element he should declare "all in" or "last man, all in" to pilot or some other verbal queue to the pilot that all ground forces have boarded.

That’s it, thanks for the Mission Skippy and thank you to all those that helped me out as medic, Racoon did a great job and so did Alpha.

This is the cipher. We’ve ruled out a simple character cipher (A ->C) for example, it also doesnt seem be any form of single character assignment either as ‘llgeyy’ is a word that would have to have a double letter at the start and end which doesn’t exist in English.

Yes mate and the "Cpfsnld’g" could only be one possible option Shouldn’t which does not work with the rest of the message.
