Defensive positions and AO

General plan

Depending on the attendance, we will want to set on the outer perimeter first, that is holding markers S OUT, SW OUT, W OUT and N OUT. North East sector is better covered by within the base. If numbers aren’t high enough we’ll want at least SW OUT covered and the rest can hold positions inside the base.

Engineers will build out positions occupied first, outer ones with sandbags and bunkers as element leaders see fit. Once done, engineers will retreat to the base and start setting up sandbag walls on all the marked buildings as well as set up the guns as follows.

1x High Kord at N1, NE1, E1, SE1
1x Djigit + 1x Kornet inside the base around SE1 building for AA, exact location to be decided in mission

The 2S25 will be deployed on the South (either inside or outside the base) since it’s the MSR most likely to be used.

I hope we’ll have a Bravo, so it can be the sacrificial goat for manning the 2S25, setup AA and such. Otherwise, elements do expect to be split up and re-organized by Platoon directly.

If it all goes South… Pardon me, when it all goes South, ALAMO is the building by SE1 marker.

If anyone has tips on how to better place assets and elements I’m very open to ideas.

Generally, I agree with all you posted 8061610 but I’d prioritise MAT over MMG and swap those two. Mainly because if we have lower numbers MAT just has the bigger damage output and larger engagement range, both against vics and infantry due to their HEAT and HE rockets.

Sounds reasonable to me. MMG was interesting because we have a lot of open ground to cover, especially to the SW and NE and they’re quite mobile with respect to static MGs. But on the other hand we don’t really have anything on standby at all times for medium to heavy armour so it could be a go.

Slotting up is also updated to prefer regular infantry (Alpha and Bravo) over specialised elements as everyone now should be able to build fortifications. We’ll see how many people we have and ideally pick both squads (so we have proper arc designation) and MAT for armour threat.
