OPORD

I Situation

Takistani pirates have stolen some our most precious personal information, you’re tasked to clear them from the area and most importantly, download and destroy the databases.

Friendly Forces

  • TFN
  • PLT, A, B, C, MAT, HAT
  • UAV in PLT Rifleman
  • Logistics Airdrop

Assets

  • 2x Fennek - 4 seats: 1x driver, 1x commander, 2x passenger - no callsign
  • 1x HEMTT Transport - 18 seats: 1x driver, 17x passenger - no callsign

Enemy Forces

  • Takistani Islamic Rebel forces
  • Foreign support has supplied them with different kinds of armored vehicles

Civilians

  • No, the area is free of any civilian presence, everything in this area is hostile

II Mission

Out of previous intel, we’ve found that they keep their advanced databases secure in 5 locations with heavy security. Each database houses the personal information of our unit taken from several platforms: Discord, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Your task is to first download this data again on our secure database before destroying their hardware (a couple of bullets should do the trick). Afterwards, RTB with the data.

III Execution

Commander’s Intent

  • Clear the hostiles in the area
  • Download the data from the databases in each objective
  • Destroy their database

Movement Plan

  • Up to PLT

Fire Support

  • No fire support available, except for HAT/MAT

Optional Tasks

  • Have a jolly good time

IV Administration / Logistics

Resupplying

  • Resupply for PLT crate, Fireteam crate, medical crate, HAT crate & MAT crate is available through airdrop, BEWARE that this airdrop can be shot down, we have no info on MANPADS but even a good machine gunner can shoot down planes.

Reinforcements

  • Reinsertions will be on the hour every hour and be adhered to strictly, no deviation is allowed.
  • Reinsertions are the same for all, including vehicles teams.
  • Platoon Commander has a one time reinsertion wild card at his disposal, call this in through HQ.
  • At predesignated times, reinforcements will be sent out of the base in the smallest transport vehicle which can hold reinforcements.
  • At predesignated times, an air transport will be sent out to pick up reinforcements from the base.
  • At predesignated times, an armed escort vehicle will be sent out to escort reinforcements from the base.
  • Upon insertion to the AO, reinforcements should stick together until regrouping with the main force in the AO.

Good op!

I personally feel like you could’ve been more punishing by sending in more QRF forces from behind if desired, but this is down to each Game Master’s style at the end on how intense and constant you want the action to be. But honestly, other than the mission going a bit over time, I have no feedback. It was fun!

I do have feedback for players though, I feel like we should work a bit more on making sure people around us are up and running, especially after the squad/team took fire. I have seen this a bunch in the past and it happened today as well, where someone was downed and the rest of the team just does not notice and keep running. That’s an easy way to lose members, as if you’re bleeding out you will probably not wake up and may die. Make sure to keep your other teammates in mind and do a quick 360 to see if everyone around you are up.

Great OP! making 20%-30% too much mission is an ongoing tradition in the MMT.

Comms were super nice and clean when it mattered throughout, as were in-fireteam comms in Alpha 1. I think I was a bit too loose on direction when leading my fireteam, giving really vague orders like “continue movement” or “engage”. My team was very capable however and was able to make it work.

Ohdahh, great mission, I have a couple of points below:

  • I liked the time you gave the platoon to regroup after each objective. Sometimes it can be hard not to keep throwing enemies at us because we think breaks from firefights equals boring for players but you had a good balance.

  • For the size of our elements I thought the resistence we faced was good, could have been a little harder on us whilst moving between objectives. However, mission time was creeping so understandable.

For our performance a couple of points below, mainly picked up because I messed up:

  • Keep an eye on buddy team mates, it is the way we don’t leave people behind. We need to be constantly checking in on eachother so that FTL’s and SL’s can hold, treat wounded etc. I did this on the first objective as I was buddies with Flo and had not really bothered to first identify my buddy and then failed to notice he was downed. After this I made it a point to keep asking people how they were doing and to check on eachother.

  • Overall loved the leadership from everyone in Alpha, comms, and our performance was great watching back over OCAP.
