CNTO Total War Captains Challenge

Hey guys!

There was a discussion on Discord the other day about doing a game night sometime where a few members of CNTO play famous historical battles in the Total War Games, but with each player only controlling a small few units so that we’d all have to work together in order to win, al a this British tv show Time Commands

I’d like to get a list of everyone who’s interested and which Total War games people own so we could organise this!

For myself, I own:
Medieval II- Definitive Edition
Rome
Empire
Napoleon
Three Kingdoms.

I’d also be willing to purchase Rome 2.

All the same team against an AI of course. We can rotate players fairly.

I personally marked myself as a no for those days and others can do the same if they plan to attend!

Okay. Since people have filled in that Doodle pretty quick and with a 4 player limit, I see a couple of options for us!

30th Oct - Berenton, Blodos, Dachi, Skippy

I think this gives us a nice mix of players and I think we can rotate games easily too!

Matching games and dates might be pretty tough still, seeing as there’s only 1 game 5 of us own and most of the rest are owned by 4 out of 6 people. Personally my favorite game (unit composition wise) is Rome II. I’m also willing to buy Shogun 2 and Empire or Napoleon if I can find them at a discount somewhere.

I own every Total War in the series with the exception of Britannia, but I can’t play them in vanilla, especially the newer titles because formations break and flee so quickly due to excessive moral damage that most fights are over before they began. If you guys are up for modded gameplay I’m down, got premade Steam Workshop mod collections for most newer titles.

However, it would be cool if these events would be scheduled if possible outside of our op days as we are running on the lower end of player participation atm. Actively drawing 3-4 away from an op would have a noticeable impact on that. Edit: nvm, I didn’t notice the thread had a second page which listed all events outside of our op days.
