These missions are meant to be played out similarly to the previous Campaign op. One recon op (max. 1 hour) followed by a shock and awe assault.
The main objectives are the main operating base in the South East (Hill 91), as well as the Comms station in the North (Hill 203).

Insert two separate landing parties, Plt and Squad heading east to scout the circled OP’s splitting up and sending the smaller Plt element to scout the communications base.
One Squad heads west and conducts recon from the circled OP’s, concentrating on the airbase.
The South Western Obj has no high ground or areas to conduct effective recon from, the same is said for the most South Eastern Obj.
Priority of Objectives to be achieved during recon:
The Primary is to locate and mark the 4 x Ballistic Missile sites.
The secondary is to mark any fixed AA sites.
Tertiary is to mark any other target and areas of note for enemy activity
Insert in the South West and take out the main operating base first.
Use our long-range capabilities to take out the airfield but otherwise ignore it whilst we concentrate on the MOB. Idea is to get as close as possible, but concurrently strike this base hard and then smoke the complete western entrance to allow movement in.
From here move to the communications stations and again get close whilst concurrently smashing with long-range fires, then smoke and clear.
(Although not marked bombing of the South Eastern targets would take place in conjunction with the attack on the comms station)
Both main objectives are in really shitty places with no chance of overwatch or cover on the approach. This is why the best chance for success is to retain the element of surprise for as long as possible and smash secondary targets to prevent QRF. Smash primary targets and smoke to soften up defences and then cover our approach. This needs to be timed properly together in order to be effective. We must be in place to launch effective attacks and move fast.
Losing momentum will kill this attack.
Will need to understand what support will be available on this mission to split effectively.
To answer your question about fire support: you have 120mm naval gun artillery support, 64x tomahawk cruise missiles, and 2x F-18s for CAS.
Note that during the first mission you’ll want to get into position to assault a different objective to the ones you are given in the second mission (this I just to simulate that there are multiple elements involved)
Edit: So reading through the OPORD for the 2nd mission there is a bit of disparity between the main objectives set here and those on the OPORD.
If I were to go off the OPORD then my plan would change slightly with our forces ensuring the Airfiled is clear prior to any assualt on the Comms Station.
I would like other FF to attack those En Loc’s in the South East of the island.
