Event Name: Arma Finland Weekly games
Start and end time (CET/CEST): 18.00-22.00
Event Thread: https://armafinland.fi
Hello everyone,
I would like to introduce ARMA FINLAND weekly games to you and extend an invitation to perhaps join these games in the not so distant future.
Arma Finland is a finnish Arma 3 community, open to everyone, including clans and individuals to come and play. Our only requirement is that you speak finnish, which I assume most of you don’t, but keep reading.
We play PvP games every wednesday and saturday, starting at 19.00 GMT+2. We play 2 "official" games, each game lasts about 45 minutes to an hour and a half. Between games there is a small break and after those two games there is often smaller scale PvP goodness for those who have time and stick around, and have no social life or work the next day. Our player numbers fluctuate from 70-90 players per games, numbers usually climb steadily during winter and then take a dent during summer months. The games feature a variety of infantry, mechanized, armoured and aerial assets, depending on what the mission has in store for us.
We are experimenting with the idea of having english speaking players attending our weekly games. We have done, and continue to do, events with foreign communities, but our weekly games have mostly consisted of finnish players thus far. How this would work is you would give us a week or two advance, inform us how many members you would have participating and then we would incorporate you into our games. Depending on your numbers you could have a squad or full platoon at your disposal. Said unit would then either have a finnish leader to communicate with higher command or just a finnish speaking RTO or two, just in case one bites the dirt. Or it could be a completely separate element. Depending on the mission of course.
Our mod pack is quite large 33.58 GB, but easy and convenient to download using our in-house program, AFISync. Which I will link if this is something that peaks your interest. We use TS and TFAR for ingame communication. Our rule set for the games is quite simple and we don’t take the games too seriously. No ghosting or sharing information outside of the actual game and no Day-Z as in being your own one man Squad/Rambo. The aim is to be tactical, realistic and value your virtual life.
Feel free to add me in Steam to discuss this further, ask Flo for more details if you have trouble finding me.
I will attach couple of videos from our previous games. The first one is subtitled the second one not, but speaks for itself.
