Hi there leave feedback!
Hey guys,
First off Teddy thanks for a great mission, the defence was very nice and provided lots of action for all elements involved which is sometimes hard to achieve. It was great that you kept the attacking balanced and did not get frustrated with our awesome defence and throw all sort at us.
The Platoon well done to al,l after watching CNTR even the assault at the USMC base looked good ![]()
Few points I noticed and to be fair are extremely common in CNTO.
Comms: Good in Defence, Poor in Attack. Things we need to remember are keep passing on information even when in the thick of the action situational awareness on platoon level is very important when multiple elements are working closely together
Tying in with comms is coordination and this only really comes with good comms. As SL’s we should be talking to each other in order to coordinate buildings to take, who is moving when, who needs support and who is watching what sector.
Use of smoke and grenades: Grenades around friendlies is never a good idea especially with other elements are in close proximity, using them to clear buildings is fine when each element has been given specific buildings to clear and the SL’s have confirmed who is clearing what. Smoke should be used to cover your movements etc but don’t obscure you own view at a location you are taking to assault it will slow things down and cause confusion and possible blue on blue.
Anyway great job all round.
Really nice mission with good battle location. Very good choice of terrain for Bravo. It was fun to have a 360 on our hill. We had it probably quite a easy opposite engeneer team and Alfa as they could not see so well. Did like that the mission how in was slowly graduating, that after some small recon teams came later squads. The attack at the end went very quick.
I think that defense is simply easier you just hold and not need to coordinate things too much while it attack - if you do not ambush, there will be casualities including SQLs and TLs who has the long range radios.
I think generally this Op was one of the easier I played but it was really fun and I did like it. :thumb:
Is it the end of this campaign? I was REALLY into that but uni just sucked me in. Would like to see like… the end at least, I guess ![]()
One more mission yet Tropical. We haven’t conquered the island yet ![]()
For future mission makers I would like to just repeat the most interesting things I learn’t from running this mission. For using US Forces, or any side that equips their guys with good optics then putting down squads and removing the unnecessary equipment is really handy. A few reference squads can be placed down somewhere safe then they can be added to zeus in game and deep copied CTRL+SHIFT+C and then pasted CTRL+SHIFT+V if you need them later. Headless client controlled attacks can then be setup in the editor and either told to wait (in seconds…) or triggered as friendly forces enter areas. I used timed attacks on the hour as friendly AI already existed in the area and I was unsure about a trigger that could tell the difference.
Very good mission overall, though I would not have joined the engineering team if I knew how boring it would be to be part of them on the second part of the defence. Bravo got more or less all the fun ![]()
If anything this mission, with the good ol’ convoy (and the obligatory missing of the first turn), the regular setup and no-fuss scenario was very enjoyable and had little to no way of going horribly wrong. Makes me re-iterate my opinion that we don’t need convoluted stuff to have an enjoyable evening, outstanding job Teddy !

Surprise Flash-bangs!
My 343 was being weird again. I couldn’t communicate properly with it when I took the platoon radio. A lot of times I couldn’t respond as it kept locking into platoon radio for tab and ctrl tab and messages just got lost. Important ones like "I need a medic" and "I see a contact."
Nice mission 9240990 ! I think as A2 we did a good job keeping the western flank secure and the tank approaching caused a bit of panic but it was brilliantly neutralized by Delta with just a couple of rockets, maybe we should have coordinated better with A1 in order to shorten the time between each rocket since the poor guy had to run back to gather another launcher.
I wish more people showed up in order to occupy the advanced positioned bunkers to the west which were in an interesting spot, maybe next time.
Time for a couple of pictures I’m afraid.

"Engineers" not being very smart blocking access to a well placed wall.
