We were equipped with Mediterranean Camo so mission completely unplayable ![]()
Just kidding. I really liked the first two thirds of the mission up until we assaulted the town. A relatively easy assault on the bridge and hidden camp but a nice attack once we had the camp plus the ambushes on the road. I was a little annoyed with the attempt to capture the enemy soldier as I had to patch him up to stop him bleeding out and then he animation glitched so it was difficult to get him out of there. So for problems that we had nothing to do with he got sniped by a soldier appearing from no where. But that is only one small low point. The last attack and clearing of the town was fine and avoiding teleporting enemy fire teams is just something you learn from practice, I have done the same thing.
It is not really the mission maker or zeus fault but I just find clearing towns of seemingly randomly placed soldiers really dull. To be honest this was better than most as there were enemies moving about and flanking us, but even then I prefer defended objectives or fighting through enemy patrols to checking the same building and pumpkin patch a dozen times. It’s never going to be fun for me even though we have done countless missions with "Clear Town" as an objective.
On the topic of randomly placed soldiers, I agree with Teddy here. I haven’t played the mission, I’m talking about my experience. I remember that once in one of my missions I didn’t place any soldiers in civilian buildings. All enemy units had what I thought was a logical placement. They were holding checkpoints, they were patrolling and they were guarding important posts and points.
Thing is, after the mission I received several complaints about that because PLT still wanted to check every single one of the little houses and massive multi-storied skyscrapers. Lack of enemy units in civilian housing made that a dull and boring task. Ever since then I put small groups of enemy units in civilian housing which, I guess, keeps everybody happy.
