A Couple of kilometers from our recently rented base is the demilitarized zone under the overwatch of UN. The UN has repeatedly spotted infiltrating recon teams from South Island Republic (SIR) and recently this activity has escalated. Autonomous Republic Three Islands (ARTI), which belongs to the Republic of Panthera (ROP) has an active separatist movement, which threatens the integrity of ROP. Our government decided that we should help our allied ROP, even when it could mean armed conflict or fighting against rebels. SIR see ARTI as part of their historical territory, and would like to annex it from the Republic of Panthera. The government is trying to supress the pro-SIR separatist movement but it is still active in whole territory of Panthera ! The situation is very dangerous as enemies are active across all of Panthera !

OPORD

I Situation:

About 40-60 rebels and SIR recon team landed close to prison and are on way to free their POWs. We need to get there and eliminate them. Do not forget that enemies are active in all territory of ARTI and ROP.

There is a major SIR military exercise underway and this could help us in the next phase of our operation which will involve covert strike ops on within their territory. We need to be quick and quiet in elimination of enemies at objectives. Our forces are on Weapons Hold when in SIR Territory. Try to blend in as exercising troops we have the same types of weapons systems and vehicles as them.

II Mission:

Eliminate the SIR/Separatist attack forces converging on the Prison once completed gear up for covert strike ops to be conducted with SIR territory, targets decided by tactical ground lead element.

IV Administration / Logistics:

Resupplying

[*] Supplies can be found at base or REAPER 2 can be tasked through HQ to conduct air drops.[/list][/indent]

Reinforcements:

[] At predesignated times, reinforcements will be sent out of the base in smallest transport vehicle which can hold reinforcements.

] Upon insertion to the AO, reinforcements should stick together until regrouping with the main force in the AO.[/list][/indent]

Prison ambush:
Use 2 mechanized infantry squads to set-up an ambush on the road leading to the prison with the BRDMs.
Reaper flies as a recon element in a little bird.
Regroup back at base, Reaper switches to the Mi-8MT to extract the infantry if vehicles are lost.

SIR Territory:
Use the MK. V. SOC ships to land North of the purple Comms Tower with Reaper as recon.
Destroy the tower & mount back in the boats.

Cricle around to the West & land North of the red Comms Tower.
Destroy the tower & move on foot towards HVT 1.

Probably time for resupply/reinsert & regroup at the boats.
Use the boats to double back North then East to land close to HVT 2.

1 Squad pushes on foot towards the radar stations, 1 Squad mounts back in the boats & lands East of the Radars to provide a flank.

Panthera Spec. Op. - Recon Intelligence HQ situational report:

Prison ambush:

  • we do not know how fast enemy is, they can be slower or faster than we
  • area recon says the roads are just field roads, a lot of trees around a lot of defilades close to prison. Enemy plan is to land by MK. V. SOC ships and move throught terrain to straight to prison with highest probability. It can be problém to ambush them on road if they are quicker than expected. The enemy will adequately react on our forces as police, terrorists and civilians provide them real-time informations about our movement, along our secret operatives in SIR. Do not let prisoners run away, eliminate rebels, seize their ships for SIR infiltration.
  • vehicles has very limited amount of ammunition as saboteurs destroyed supplyes
  • BRDMs has no night visions nor optic for mounted MGs, very limited sight
  • Do not recommend to use Littlebirds for recon at all for all Op. - MK. V. SOC’s has miniguns and MGs. SIR AA defence will immediatelly shot down enemy assets if they will behave suspiciously or SIR does not have them in their equipment. AA manpads are in SIR equipment.
  • Using Littlebirds will disclose that TFN is active against SIR and it could mean full war. This is Secret Op. We are undecover as Russian faction advisors. Littlebird show our country is involved in enemy actions against SIR - what we do not want. (the purpose for those helis at base there was only for reinforcement and resupply, low flight under 10m above ground for SIR and no more than LZ at beach)
    (in other worlds the ACE Littlebirds with spotting capabilities are my mistake which I forgot delete and change for basic one, should not be used for any recon at all, the mission is not made for it)
  • at base are 4x additional Hamwees for 8 ppl for reinforcement (wild card) for prison position

Bad moves will have deadly consequences, apply patience

  • Terrorists once destroyed supply depot in our base, do not get thought you can not die 10m from base, nobody like us there !

SIR Territory:
- Important thing for all op is to do not disclose your activities and presence

  • Enemy has attack helicopters, jets, tanks and can use them against any targets once you are PID as enemy. (We are in Spec op against full army) SIR aim is ultimatelly anex ARTI, we do want them to launch it tonight, but weaken them !

  • Red objectives are the most important, violet is not central of infrastructure and mandatory

  • Once you get recognized as enemy (they will start shoot at you or use recon fire to PID you as Friend or Foe) you will get problems with SIR AF which are strong from EI to Jets, we are not at war, but they will defend themselves in full scale. BMPs and Tanks can shoot from hills on couple of Kms if they get order - in moment they find out the SIR and rebel forces had no success in ARTI.

  • thus once Ripper get recognized as enemy, will lead (consequences) from full scale army exercise to full scale hunt against TFN. HQ does not recommend any helikoptér recon attempts for deadly and harsh consequences. (hope its allowed for Zeus to fly the reinforcements, eta 4 minutes on ARTI)

  • Red flares and red smokes could be sign of enemy activities exercise or search operation, alarm or pre-prepared signals. Do not ignore "red flags" suspicious signals.

  • SIR AF AA defense owns manpads, AA guns, attack helicopters and jets. Foreighn advisors coud provide modern Russian made jets, which we need to confirm on Airport Marker

  • Exfill could be difficult and is allowed and ordered to steal civilians boats at Boat exfill markers to get out of SIR

Panthera Spec. Op. - Recon Intelligence HQ does stress out - do not disclose yourself as TFN. (Russian faction, BRDM, MI-8 and stolen MK V (SIR) ships are acceptable)

If needed TFN HQ can provide smoke screens and flares in ARTI territory, only,

Enemy ussualy has NVGs. Sometimes just flashlights. Depends on unit.

In addition for smooth game for everybody:

  1. No need to have OVD above 700-1000m (lower OVD, better FPS)
  2. Please, set your settings-video-gamma +0,1 or +0,2 (1,0 to 1,2) or only brightness to 1,5 as there were made lightning changes on map 3.7 to 3.9 and it s much darker than when in time the mission was created :frowning: (could not do better as MM) so you can actually see well without NVGs
  3. The mission could be longer than 2.5h or maybe not, just hope everybody will have exciting serious realistic fun .) and ppl will make it to RTB point at end.

No flying then I guess ahah.
For the prison defense,then we could either perform a flank from the East or just join up at the prison and hold it making sure we don’t get encircled.
