Very nice mission ! Enjoyed a lot. I like a lot Spec op missions in lower numbers.

This is a video for learning purposes, later will be deleted.

Learning lesson:

  1. Not being seen first is essential for every single operation
1.a… Keep security - all mission long - it s essential
1.b. Do not run around when contact is called
1.c. Do not run towards the contact
  2. Do not skyline, Do not move, Do not stand, Get prone, Head on swivel - alt… do not get cought-seen moving for the sake of the team.
  3. Take hard cover if you will be not detected
  4. Do not be seen
  5. Do not talk excesivelly (the AI hear you the same as team mates)
  6. If everybody is watching one contact do Not do the same - watch different direction (keep security)
  7. Do not call contact down if you do not see him KIA 100%
  8. Where is one contact there is ussually more
  9. Watch the Shacktak - you see what other players are doing and watching !
  10. Minimal spacing is at least the dot on Shacktac - keep the spacing
  11. Movement speed is in Silent/Spec Ops/Hit and run - very important - be safe at first place - but the quicker you move the better

Pathfinding - move in terrain which is favorable for us but as close as possible to actual movement line on map. SL is not the first person in squad column - so the pathfinding is on the first FT running. (in short - use the terrain for not being seen - the draws, the defilades, the spurs, the big rocks, river shores, depressions - not only trees or bushes where you get shot throught them)

Do not run under light sources, do not use roads (lesson for me especially)

Do not call contact repeatedly as SL - tell teams what to do.

This video is good learning lesson.

(PS: will upload privately all the video and post the link here later…have an extremely slow upload)

Second learning video lessons:

SL: (what we were doing)

  1. We were moving closer to the objective (thats all what we actually were doing)

What happened ?

  1. yellow team stopped without saying anything
  2. yellow team did not call out contact
  3. everybody was skylining ignoring my order DO NOT SKYLINE
  4. enemy spotted somebody and opened
  5. somebody without any permission was shooting back
  6. everybody kept skylining

… What we were actually doing ? We were moving closer to the objective and nothing else.

Why ?

  • recon area
  • recon objective
  • create plan of attack
  • having a short briefing
  • actually attack objective with plan

What happened really ?

  • everybody was still Skylining
  • one of FT s wanted move
  • Ok, they got permission to move

What happened next ?

  • FT does not report to SL that he see bunkers and engages them without permission

  • FT instead of covered movement to wall attack the objective

  • What should happen ?

  • FT should report to SL that he see bunkers (it s duty)

  • FT should hold fire

  • SL would give order to SL

  • (order would be: hold in defilade and find way to get close the wall)

  • FT would report back…

What happened ?

  • FT attacked the objective

What should happen ?

  • Yellow team should be quite on the left side of wall (quite becouse AI hear you or Zeus)

  • Red team would be on second side of wall
    - Everybody would get first time the permission using gun becouse the attack started on this point

  • Yellow team and red team would breach inside the objective

  • What happened ?

  • video say it all

  • One thing about smokes generally for every single mission: think before using smokes
    – It reveals your position
    – It obstruct your vision more then for the enemy ussually
    – It s possible to shoot throught the smokes (as Zeus I do it)

From this you can read what a skylining does. If only one person do that - it will ruin it all. (there was like everybody skylining… not single person. Shooting in defence is reasonable.)

Lesson for SL - better prediction of mistakes, control of teams - what they have permited to do and movement, marking on map, communication what we are doing.
