Coop: Conquistadors Part 4

Oh and a side note I forgot to mention in debrief: Those guys who hit you in your base had your uniforms because your scouting op left quite a few friendly bodies behind the other week.

First of all I would like to apologise for leaving early and not attending debrief. As you know, this is not one of my habits.

Feedback for Skippy:
If you’re going to do something like attacking our base then please do inform that unlike the last three ops in this series of missions you don’t need time to set everything up as I thought we were still waiting like the past three times.

For Shiny:
I already mentioned most of this stuff to some people around, first of all I don’t think choosing MAT was a very good choice, especially due to the terrain which doesn’t really allow for long distance shots as that would be MAT’s greatest strength. Instead a full alpha with an extra medic and a nightbird/falcon would have probably been more useful. Even if the planes and helicopters would have been blown up we could have used a gunner/pilot in the chinook.

Outside of this the operation seemed well made and everyone did perform up to standard.

I choose MAT because there was still a reasonable threat of tanks in the area. Skippy said multiple times that our scouting did not find everything and I don’t want to risk not being able to do anything against a Abrams. Thus choosing MAT over other elements.
I agree that NB or Falcon would have been good in any other map if we just had that 1 or 2 more players. We exactly filled up Alpha and MAT now and I would rather have ground troups then NB (especially if we are fighting in caves which was the planning). Caves do not allow NB or Falcon to do anything and with previous experience there was a real chance we would end up in them again. Which we briefly did.

I did like the OP. I hope we do not get 1 mission but a different campaign on a different map and no more caves as a follow up :slight_smile:
Did we manage to scare them off before they could deploy their project Evolution Skippy? If so, do we have it now?

Only the first two times did I need to set anything up and I explicitly told you guys that was the case on the op. Not setting things up is our standard and since Friday also worked this way (I did make it clear that if there was a clear plan in the thread, I could make the mission and Shiny understood that and provided it to me both times.)

As far as the attack went, there were opportunities to stop it happening as well as mission clues that something was going to go down. On top of that, it was also consequences to your guys actions over the past three ops.

Whilst I agree with some of what you said regarding not much to do, the final objective that you guys pulled out again actually was a heavy vehicle base and you guys would have had plenty to shoot at if that had been attacked fully. Shiny took MAT as a safety net which I think was a good decision, it just so happened that things changed and you guys didn’t get much to do.

Turn up for it! It will be the same map but not really the same map, as I’m custom build a whole area on there for it which you’ll be in for the op. Yes, some caves too, but I don’t want to spoil too much.

There is also a planned campaign I have in the next few months as well as I know Dusty has one also in the works. So watch the space ahead.
